Ultrasonic scaling
Initially, an ultrasonic scaler with a special tip is used to remove any heavy deposits of tartar and unsightly stains. The tip vibrates at a high rate and flushes out bacteria and deposits from below the gums with sterile water. It also smooths out bumps on the surface of your teeth to avoid further buildup.
Handscaling
This is followed by handscaling which allows your hygienist to carefully feel for any small bits of buildups missed during the ultrasonic treatments and gently removing them all.
Airflow polishing
Next up is airflow polish. We use a fine jet of calcium carbonate powder that is smooth, soft, and gentle to your teeth. This enables efficient and faster removal of all stubborn stains.
Diamond polishing
Finally, a mint diamond polishing paste with real minute diamond particles is applied for a silky smooth finish, and ultimately, that perfect smile.
